Today we explored books by the author David Shannon! Thank you to everyone who braved the rain to join us for Story Time today. :)
A young boy is depicted doing a variety of naughty things for which he is repeatedly admonished, but finally he gets a hug.
When David gets in trouble, he has excuses right up until bedtime, when he realizes he really is sorry.
David's activities in school include chewing gum, talking out of turn, and engaging in a food fight, causing his teacher to say over and over, "No, David!"
We also played a No, David! game. Miss Dinah had a bag of items, some of which were good for library books... And some of which were not so good! With the children's help, we divided the items into the No, David! box and the Yes, David! box. The consensus was:
