CIRCLE the Wagons

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

We will spend the next several weeks learning about shapes, so let's start with one of my favorites: CIRCLES!

Lots of Dots by Craig Frazier
Circular shapes are spotted in familiar objects and everyday situations. Buttons are dots. Wheels are dots. Stars even look like dots. Ladybugs have dots, and so do the fried eggs on your plate.  Lots of dots!

The Mouse Who Ate the Moon by Petr Horacek
Little Mouse loves to look up at the moon every night. But one night, when a piece of the moon falls from the sky, she can't resist taking a little nibble. And another. Now that Little Mouse has eaten a nice-sized chunk, will the moon still be round?

The first member of our owl family says,
"Whoooooo loves CIRCLES?  I doooooooo!"
