Olivia Forms a Band by Ian Falconer
Olivia decides there has to be a marching band at the fireworks display, even if she has to do it herself.

"Fireworks" Action Song:
Fireworks go snap, snap, snap
Crack, crack, crack
Zap, zap, zap
Fireworks make me clap, clap, clap
On Independence Day!

My America by Jan Spivey Gilchrist
An illustrated children's poem which celelbrates the diversity of America.

"This Land is Your Land"
by Woodie Guthrie

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me

Summer Beat by Betsy Franco
Two friends celebrate the sounds and sights of summer. Clackity-clack, clackity-clack. A skateboard flies over sidewalk squares. Whoosh pumf, whoosh pumf. Water balloons tossed through the air. Bizzle-bzzz, bizzle-bzzz. A bumblebee comes zipping by. Tzooooooooooo bang. Tzooooooooooo bang. Fireworks start for the Fourth of July! The sounds of summer sizzle and pop in this bouncing, swinging tribute to the best beats of every child's favorite season.
We rocked Craft Time with this patriotic windsock!
